Ms. Cullinane Ms. Cullinane is the School Counselor for GSHS. She is a member of the SIP and the Academic Fair/Bowl Committees. Along with Det. Schreiner, Ms. Cullinane facilitates Peer Jury. Ms. Zehelein Ms. Zehelein is the school Social Worker. In addition to meeting with students on a scheduled and as-needed basis, Ms. Zehelein facilitates several support groups and manages the school's talent show. Parenting & Prenatal Group
This group meets on Tuesdays from 9:30-10:00. The emphasis of this group is on supporting teen parents so they remain in school and graduate.
Own It Group
The schedule for this group is in the process of being changed due to a conflict with the Advisory schedule. The emphasis of this group is on self-reflection and a willingness to problem solve in regards to personal struggles relating to choices and behavior.
Relationship Group
This group meets on Thursdays from 9:30-10:00. The emphasis of this group is on relationships and how they support or hinder our personal and academic growth. Students work on setting healthy limits in relationships with family, friends, and school staff.
Talent Show
The planning for the talent show is just beginning with the onset of Advisory. The students working on the planning of the show will be going to classrooms to present surveys to determine student interest. All interviews and rehearsal schedules will be organized by Winter break. As of now, the programming team has come up with the following ideas for the show's theme: Las Vegas, Hollywood, Celebrities, Carnival, Circus, and Elgin. The final decision about the theme will be made by Winter Break.
