Kindergarten News!

 The kindergartners have accomplished a great deal in a relatively short amount of time.  They are doing wonderful work in their literacy centers and are understanding and following classroom rules and routines.  Our Making Meaning reading comprehension program and Being A Writer curriculum are giving them the opportunity to share their thinking with a partner and show their talents as authors and illustrators. Both programs contribute to creating a respectful learning community in our classroom.  Please support the hard work your child is doing by making sure they arrive at school on time with their Hillcrest folder and help them complete homework assignments on time.  Most importantly give your child the gift of hearing a story everyday.
