Parents and Teachers of Ellis

It is no secret that parental involvement is vital to the success of your student's education.  A great way to be involved is to volunteer to be part the smiling faces that comprise the Ellis PTE.  The PTE helps with some of the following activities:

  • Hispanic Parent Night – Hispanic parents have an opportunity to meet and become familiar with the school and staff in a relaxed environment with other Spanish speaking parents.

  •  Family Game Night – a sport-centered theme brings parents and children together at the school for a night of basketball or other sports.

  • Career Day – Parents and community members share information on their careers with students.  The group of 30-40 participants includes doctors, realtors, landscapers and various other professions from our community.  Students have questions ready to ask to ensure they get the most out of this event.

*Contact our PTE President Cindi Downey or our Principal Mr. Hayes for more information about becoming a part of our PTE.

Family Fun Night....

I would like to personally thank the Ellis' staff, students, and parents for the fantastic turnout at our Family Fun Night! Families enjoyed a delicious dinner, Book Fair, Family Reading Centers, and fun activities in the gym. A special "Thank You" to local community businesses for their donations of food, prizes, and volunteers: Tia Maria's Restaurant, In The Neighborhood Cafe, and CrossWinds Church! A great time was had by ALL!
