INTRODUCING...
TEFFT MIDDLE SCHOOL R3 PBIS
Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports
is a proactive, POSITIVE approach for creating and maintaining safe and effective learning environments in schools.
Tefft Middle School has begun its second year of implementing PBIS as a school-wide program. Tefft began the school year with intense lessons the first two days of school following the themes of Respect Yourself, Respect Others, Respect Your School! These lessons show the students the proper way of acting in the classroom, hall, cafeteria and bus. It also stresses the importance of all around respect in the classroom environment.
On Friday, September 4th, all students participated in a PBIS assembly which reinforced the goals of PBIS and set goals for improvement of behavior from the previous school year. On September 8 students started receiving stickers for positive behavior which in October can be turned in for awards such as popcorn.
Tefft Middle School has a PBIS team that meets twice a month to discuss behavior, rewards and interventions to help students in school. The following Tefft Middle School Staff members make up the PBIS team:
