SouthElginHigh School’s Guidance team provides a comprehensive four-year program designed to provide students an enriching high school experience and exposure to post-high school planning and preparation. The staff, which consists of six professional counselors, collaborates with other members of the student services team to provide college, career, academic, and social/emotional counseling. Counselors conduct classroom presentations and seek out students on an individual basis throughout the school year to discuss topics pertaining to these areas of student development. Additionally, students are encouraged to schedule appointments with their counselors as needed to address questions or areas of concern.
