 Lorraine Cruz was born in Bronx, NY to Victor and Vivian Cruz. By right before turning 3 the family moved to Chicago and located themselves in the Englewood community.   
Upon entering and graduating college Ms. Cruz moved into the Logan Square community and became a teacher of ESL and GED for the adult community, while also becoming a teacher for the Chicago Public Schools. After teaching for about 14 years, she became a middle school principal in Chicago Public Schools.
Ms. Cruz is working exhaustively to help the youth of this community and beyond.  As a new member of the Elgin School District and principal of Canton Middle School, Ms. Cruz is excited to begin working and implementing some of her successful projects with her new found community.

Mr. William Jackson received his Bachelor's Degree in Biblical Studies and Elementary Education in 2000 at Trinity Bible College in Ellendale, North Dakota.  He received his Master's Degree in Leadership and Administration at Benedictine University in Lisle, Illinois in 2006.

Mr. Jackson spent seven years teaching in elementary education in South Dakota and Chicago before moving into administration.  He previously served as Assistant Principal at Kennedy Middle School in Rockford, IL and is excited to now serve as Assistant Principal here at Canton!

Mr. and Mrs. Jackson currently reside in Sleepy Hollow, IL with their two children Liam (9) and Maeve (7).
