School Beautification
"And the Academy Award for Art and Set Decoration goes to..." As you walk around the school you will notice all the really cool artwork enhancing our school environment that has been painted on walls in the lobbies, stairwells and around the outside of classrooms on the lower level in particular. This is the handiwork of our very own talented art teacher, Mrs. Karen Pullman. She has been creating this in her "spare time" on weekends. The students and staff would like to recognize and thank Mrs. Pullman for helping to brighten up our school, and making it a much more pleasant and colorful place in which to learn and work.
Eastview Running Team
On a recent weekend some of the Eastview Running Club ran in a 5K race in Batavia, IL. The running club is coached by Eastview teacher Ms. Jorie Fogerty, an experienced marathoner herself. Connor Rachford, 8th grade student, came in 2nd in his age group and Ben Dorsz, also a 8th grade student, came in 3rd place!! This past weekend, Sept. 27/28, Anthony Peters and Tyler Richmond for competed in their 2nd 5K race held in Wheaton, IL. Both placed at the top of their age groups! Congratulations to all these boys!!
