                                           WE NEED YOU

  •  During the 1912-1913 school year, Elgin High School adopted “Education for All” as its motto and today 97 years later that goal remains the same.  As your son or daughter matriculate through high school remember that you need to stay involved.  Many parents pull back when their student reaches high school. They believe they are not needed as much and their student will handle their own education.  This could not be further from the truth, High school is a complex time and your sons/daughters need you to be part of their program even if they won’t admit it.  Try and make a habit of discussing what is going on at school with your child daily or weekly if possible.  If they say “nothing” call us, because there are things going on at Elgin High in every classroom in the building every day of the year.  Please know that if our students are disconnected at home or school their chances of success drop significantly.  We will only be successful if we work together! We have many programs that thrive on parent participation, all we need is you.  Our PTO (Parent Teachers Organization), E-Booster Club, Friends of Music, and Bilingual Parent Network is always looking for parents to get involved.  Call Elgin High School (847) 888-5100 and make a difference.
