Dance Mat Typing

Dance Mat typing is an online typing program kindergarten through 3rd grade classes are starting. This program teaches finger placement and beginner typing skills in a fun way. Students can access this program from home to work on their typing skills.

Customtyping is a district wide typing program the 4th through 6th grade classes are starting. This program teaches accuracy and speed. Students can also access this program from home to work on their typing skills.

Due to recent research regarding the number of germs found on computer keyboards and the possibility of causing illness; Nature Ridge is taking a proactive stand and requesting students to use NON-ALCOHOL based hand sanitizer upon entering the computer lab. Keyboards are cleaned daily, but there is not always enough time to clean each work area thoroughly between classes.

         

A Big "Thank You" to the PTO for purchasing the keyboard skins for the computer lab.
The students in grades 3 thru 6 have been using them to improve their keyboarding skills.
