Important Safety Notices to parents and visitors to Century Oaks:
In order to ensure an increased level of safety in our school, we ask that ALL visitors please report directly to the school office. We encourage parents to visit the classrooms, but you must call to schedule a time with the teacher as to when you can visit. At NO time are visitors to go directly into a classroom to talk to a student or teacher without first signing in at the office. To further tighten school safety procedures, please ring the doorbell at the front office. Please do not feel offended if a staff member does not open the door for you. The teachers and students have been instructed to not open the door. Only the secretaries and principal may open the door for you. Again, these methods will ensure that all of our children remain in a safe and secure environment.
Exiting Procedures:
Students who walk home will be directed to exit the front doors and students who ride the bus will exit the North side doors (Multipurpose doors) as usual. For safety reasons, It would be helpful if your child's teacher knew if your child will be changing the method in which they go home for a day. For example, making sure your child gives their teacher a note from you stating that you will be picking them up after school.
