Kimball Library Policies

Students may check out 2 books from the library at a time upon presentation of their School ID card.

Books may be kept for 2 weeks and are stamped with the due date on a slip in the back of the book.  Students may renew their books as many times as they wish.

Overdues:
A grace period of 3 days is given on all materials.  Fines are not charged until the 4th day the item is overdue.  A Daily fine of .10 is charged for each item overdue in the library.

Lost books:
Students who lose library materials must pay to have them replaced.  Remember, when you check out a book, you agree to return the book in good condition on the day it is due back to the library.  Any item that is lost must be replaced.  The replacement charge is as follows:
*hardcover books:  the cost of the
     book or $15.00
*paperback books - the cost of the
     book (usually $3.99 or more)

Students who have overdue fines or lost items may not check out any other items from the library until the matter is resolved.  Students who have not made restitution will not be allowed to attend extracurricular activities at the discretion of the librarian and the Assistant Principal.
