Do you need help with your homework? Do you need to be able to use a computer and printer? Help is available every morning before school from 8:00 a.m. until 8:53 a.m. in the computer lab next to the library. All you need to do is this – 1. Sign in by the window tables – at the same place temporary ID’s are sold. You will be given a pass to the computer lab. Report to the computer lab and give your pass to the teacher. You can also receive help Monday through Thursday after school for both homework help and use of a computer/printer. Report to the library immediately after school and check in with the teacher. All of this will start on Monday, September 21st. There are no excuses. Help is available every day at Tefft Middle School

TEFFT TARGET TIME
This week all students at Tefft Middle School will be participating in Tefft Target Time. Tefft Target Time is a very important activity because we believe at TMS that all students should take responsibility for their learning. You will be graphing ISAT scores, Map scores, target tests, vocab tests, reflecting on how well you have learned target and vocabulary words, and finally setting goals. We want you to think about your learning using 3 questions? Where am I going? Where am I now? How can I close the gap? Our goal is that wherever you are individually, you are always improving.    Remember….

Some succeed because they are destined to; but most succeed because they are determined to.  Success is obtained by dedication, commitment, and planning. Tefft Target Time is an important part of this process

If a fire alarm sounds during a passing period, students should exit the building at the nearest door and once outside report to your 1st period teacher.

Fire Alarm Procedures

  1. When a fire alarm rings the teacher will go to the door with their attendance book and the students should start to line up in single file inside of the classroom.
  2. The classroom closest to the emergency exit should begin to exit first towards their designated emergency exit. The teachers at the door of the next classroom will direct the lead student to follow the teacher of the classroom in front of them forming two single file lines.
  3. The students will file out in single file from the classroom creating two single file lines, one on either side of the hall. The center of the hall and stairs must remain clear for emergency personnel. There can be no more than one person per door when we exit the building.
  4. When the class is completely out of the classroom the teacher will turn off the lights, shut the door, pull the green Trojan head and follow their students to their designated area.
  5. There should be absolutely no talking during a fire alarm.
  6. Classes will line up in a single file line at the designated area so the teacher can take attendance. Students will remain quiet during this time. After taking attendance the teacher should stand at the front of the line closest to the building. If a student is missing from a class the teacher should hold up the green Trojan head and an administrator will respond. Never leave your class unattended.
  7. All students should remain absolutely quiet during the entire fire alarm.
  8. If a student becomes separated from their class they should report to the nearest administrator immediately.
  9. No one will reenter the building until the all clear is made.
  10. There should be no talking when students are reentering the building.
  11. If a fire alarm sounds during a passing period or during lunch all students should report to their designated 1st period fire alarm station outside.
